For my three final animations for my IKON Instagram campaign I used these 3 videos.
The first is an animation of twinkling stars which I did in After Effects against a blue to black gradient background that I created in Illustrator. I wanted the stars to twinkle because in real life stars don’t stand still, they twinkle, so mine twinkle. And because it looks pretty.

The second is an animation of the text I used which was of my partner’s name, ‘Jack’. I made the text glow in After Effects and used the same background from Illustrator. I wanted the text to glow because I thought of aliens and UFO’s and how they gleam and glow so I made the text glow. But it doesn’t just glow and then stay glowed, it glows in and out. I thought it stood out more that way and you would notice the glow more obviously.

The third and final animation is of the image I created in Illustator of Jack and his helmet with the same background (to keep consistent) and added the twinkling stars as well as the glowing text so all my animations and work were present in one post.

When I posted the outcomes to Instagram I added the stars, alien and rugby ball emoji’s as the captions to go along with the space and rugby theme of my IKON image.
Overall, I really like how my animations turned out and I’m proud of myself for creating them on my own and trying things that seemed too hard like the twinkling stars. If I were to redo the image I might’ve added more features like the planets I mentioned in my after effects post but had another go at making it look cleaner and what I wanted but I’m still satisfied with what I did make.
