After finalising our idea, Gabriel joined our group.
I felt that having just one idea wasn't enough and we weren't pushing ourselves creatively, so naturally, I forced the group to go back to the drawing board and think of as many more ideas as we can as we would be presenting to Tab with these later.
Larry continued to develop the jigsaw idea into XD. While me, Liz and Gabriel brainstormed more ideas.
Gabriel used music as an idea and thought of this:

Liz created a cross between talking tom and the dementia seal, except it's a toaster (don’t ask):

I remembered from research that people with dementia enjoy playing card games so I thought of making a card game that you can buy through a website:

I asked Amy and Jacob what they thought of the card game and they liked it but didn't know what the difference between this and a normal memory card game was, so I developed it a little further.
So there's two ways to play, first the normal way which is pairs of 2's that you need to turn over personalised images and match. The second way is using colours and images. Instead of having matching pictures, you have 6 seperate personalised images with matching colours on the back. However, each pair of 2 images will have a connection and only their colours will match and you play with the images facing you and you turn them over to see if the colours match and you got the connection correct. This would be played by the person with dementia to reminisce and create a memorable connection between them and their relatives/carer.
I did some additional research alongside development to see if anything interesting jumped out and could benefit one of our ideas. I looked around for any information on colours in dementia and found some colours are better to use than others and they hold different meanings. I also found in design which fonts and styles are the best. In packaging, what materials are the best. And that text shouldn't be in all caps but with a capital at the start of each word as it's easier for them to read that way:
